The President
The President of the Republic is the head of state and chief executive. The President exercises the powers vested in him by the Constitution by issuing decrees, orders and resolutions. He signs the lows of republican significance and has the right to return to the Supreme Soviet the text of a law submitted to him for further consideration and repeat voting.
The President is assisted in his work by the Vice-President. With the agreement of the Supreme Soviet, the President appoints the Prime Minister, on whose recommendation the members of the Cabinet of Ministers are appointed. (96 words)
